Ok so my 3 year old has another ear infection. 2nd one in like 2 weeks. So this time he was prescribed augmentin and he refuses to take it. We started yesterday and the first does he spit back into his cup and the 2nd dose he spit up all over himself and the floor!! He’s refusing to take it this am. Any tips to make it taste better?! He’s usually so good about taking meds but he’s refusing. Even if I get it into his mouth he will prob just spit it out!! I’m going to his drs today for another reason so I’ll ask there but does anyone have any tip/tricks please help!!!

Chocolate pudding or the good ol fashion tackle n pinch the nose so he swallows it.
I end up doing the tackle n pinning a lot in my household

Haha monkeys he just holds it in his mouth!! I’m like dude you’re making it 10 times worse then if u just swallowed it ya know!! I put it in a little chocolate milk and he’s drinking it now. I just hope he drinks the whole thing!!

So I called his dr to see if we could switch his meds. Fingers crossed they give us some tips or other meds

Pharmacies will usually flavor them for you- some do it for free others for a small cost.
