Going away for the weekend. Husband’s useless lol

??‍♀️??‍♀️ totally my husband. I pack for everyone but him and sometimes even pack his crap! Then he will get upset if we’re behind schedule or if something is forgotten . I’m sorry I don’t have 7 arms and legs to get everything done while you walk around and twiddle your damn thumbs all day long ?? but lucky for you the Poconos is awesome

Please don’t get me wrong i love my husband with all my heart and he does work very hard for me to be able to be a SAHM and he does a lot with and for our boys. But it would be nice if he could help out a little more when we go away!!! Cause once we get to the house it will be me pretty much me unpacking/making the beds etc... it’s just frustrating because I wanted to do a lot yesterday but he came home from work and

Took like a 5 hour nap. So I really couldn’t get much done!! Because it was so nice out yesterday and I was outside playing with the boys the whole time!! Sorry I’m just ranting

Yea @mrs I wanted to pack everything in one suitcase for the whole family. Putting our snow stuff in a separate suitcase. Yes I’m very excited I used to go to the pocono’s every year for a girls weekend ski trip. A bunch of my high school friends had done this for about 10 years after graduating. But we haven’t been in like 3 years so I’m very excited to be going!! We are taking the boys tubing and possibly ice skating as my 5 year old has been asking for months to try ice skating!! Very much so looking forward to this weekend but it’s just a lot of work for me as the mom ya know?!! Also I love to ski so I’ll probably stay at the mountain after we are done tubing to ski by myself for a little bit.

Ugh this is my husband I hate it lol I'm like I have to get all of us packed..which takes time and patience then actually pack the bag...toiletries ...meds etc make sure we aren't leaving athing ! It's stressful.. men don't get it ??

No they really don’t get it like at all!! It’s annoying. Cause I have to pack with both the kids here with me. I’ll have the kids help pack their stuff. They will pick out clothes, pjs, toys and movies. They probably do more packing then dad does lol

This is me literally every single time we go somewhere. And then when I forget his socks or boxers he has the nerve to get pissy. ✋??

Haha pp. that’s why I told him to put out all the clothes and whatever he wants to bring last night. That way I can pack them today while he’s at work

Hahaha. I can sooooo relate. My husband doesn’t pack for the kids, worry about food, stuff like that. Just like every day life. He gets up and thinks, let me get myself showered, dressed and fed... and then I’m good. Not another thought in the world. I know it’s hard to say no, sometimes I feel bad... but you have to. Don’t kill your self. Hubby will have to spend some time getting those things done even if it means leaving a little later. Just breathe, and enjoy your trip!

I know momma rach. I’m just getting the kids to help pack now. I have pretty much everything together just need to get the stuff in suitcases!! We are going to have a great time it’s just annoying that moms have to do the majority of the work lol

Omg yes! I had to take everything out of our truck and REPACK when we went camping bc my husband isn’t good at it. I’ve learned to divide responsibilities and tell him what his are. Would that work w yours?

This is me every time we go somewhere. I have to pack his stuff, the boys, mine, and the dogs if we take him with us and load it up by myself in the truck or he has it all a mess!

Ugh, yes. All he does is lay his clothes on the bed. And he wonders why I don't want to go stay at his mother's more often ?

I feel your frustration lol me and dh left yesterday to go to California for the weekend. He didn't do anything. I had to ask him 50 time what dose he want to take. I pack the necessities (socks underwear, white tees, tootbrush,ect). And pack our dd and my bag all the bottles and food. He waited till 2pm when we are about to walk out the door to start going thru the closet to find what he wants to take.

Yup. We’ve been in California since last Saturday and he didn’t do a damn thing to help get ready. I did tell him I wasn’t going to pack for him and that it better be done before we went to bed last Friday. He at least did that.

@phoebe he will have a job once we get to the house. He will be responsible for unpacking all the kitchen stuff. We have to bring paper towels, paper plates, toilet paper etc. everyone else I’m just so happy it’s not just my husband. All he seriously has to do is lay out the clothes he wants to bring. If we go on like a week vacation like we do every summer then he packs his own bag. But I wanted to pack all our stuff together so he laid his stuff out last night. Luckily I remembered to ask him about a bathing suit because they have an indoor pool in the community center and a jacuzzi. So I had to grab that for him!! Oh and his deodorant lol

@phoebes - I wish! A couple of my fav BBers live in CA! We are in San Fran - I’m attending a conference. We went to Napa at the beginning of the week. The last few days we did some sightseeing around SF. Conference started yesterday so no more fun for EK. But ds & dh are having fun while mama works!

Yay we made it!!! Of course i unpacked everything but I’m all happy because we are here and going to have an awesome weekend!!! Can’t wait till tomorrow to hit the mountain for some snow tubing and skiing!!! Woohoo!!! Love the pocono’s

Eta I totally forgot to pack pjs for my 5 year old haha!! Oh well he will be sleeping in his sweatpants. He’s been refusing to wear a shirt to bed anyway!! Haha

Also we can see the mountain from the house!!’ This is going to be the best weekend ever!! I’m just so happy to have gotten away for the weekend!!! Maybe I’ll post some pics of us tubing tomorrow lol

@ek I went to San Fran about 10 years ago!! It was so much fun!! We walked the Golden Gate Bridge and all the way down to the embarcadero!! It was so much fun!!!
