Is bronchitis and pneumonia contagious?
So I was watching my niece and nephew twins on Wednesday as I always do. Well I have 2 boys 4&1/2 and 2&1/2 and yesterday my nephew was diagnosed with bronchitis and pneumonia. I was wondering if it could get my boys sick?!? I hope this isn't a stupid question lol

It could if he was coughing on them or the toys. Unfortunately you will have to wait and see. I would deep clean all the toys/house and if anyone starts coughing or run a fever I would bring them to the Dr right away to try to stop it! Good luck! Poor little guy though! Suck is never fun but I hate having both of those!

Ugh my nephew was coughing while here. I guess I'll be cleaning all the toys today!!! I'm just really worried my boys will get sick too. He's actually in the hospital right now because his o2 stats when down to 84% due to the pneumonia. Please say a little prayer that he gets better soon

Bronchitis is contagious. It depends on what type of pneumonia he has if that's contagious. But I'd definitely deep clean like PP said. ? Sorry OP. Hope your nephew gets better soon!

Thanks. He's doing better but still in the hospital. He was sick like 2 weeks ago and they say it never went away. They didn't treat him 2 weeks ago and now this!!!

My mom had the same problem. She had the beginning of pneumonia and they only treated her for a day and it got worse so she was in the hospital for 4 days. Now she has to be careful because once you get it, it's a lot easier to get it again.
