Feeling like a crappy mom
Feeling like a crappy mom
Just need to vent a minute. So last Thursday night I fell in my house pretty hard and really hurt my back/right side of my butt. It was so bad that Friday am I couldn't even get my youngest son out of his crib. Had to call an ambulance to take me to the Er (my mom and sister were on their way as I called the EMT's). Nothing is broken just a very bad deep muscle and soft tissue damage. Have been to an ortho dr and he wanted me to start pt which I started today. Well anyway for almost a week I haven't been able to care for my children by myself. My boys are 3&1/2 and 23mths old. I have literally cried everyday as I'm frustrated I can't really take care of my kids. My family and my husbands family have been amazing in helping. I've had to have someone here everyday until my husband gets home from work. I'm

Everyone has a time where they need help, it doesn't make you less of a mother or a person because this time your down. We never get breaks and then when we do we hate ourselves for its. It's not selfish to have some me time and it isn't selfish to take care of yourself. You need to make sure your the best mom you can be for your friends

You are not a crappy mom! You are just injured. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you so you can get back to your babies!

I am sorry that this happened to you. You are not a bad mom, you just need some time to heal. I am in a similar boat. I just had two surgeries that limit my activities drastically. It is difficult not being able to take care of the kids, chores or cooking. I feel you, but soon you will be able to get back to normal routines. In the meantime, hard as it is to rest, try to relax and read some books! ?

Thanks ladies. I know I just need some time to heal and everything will be back to normal. It's just hard cause we all feel like we have to be super mom. But I can't right now and my boys somewhat understand. I just hate not being able to do the normal things with them.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this but you are definitely not a crappy mom. Hoping you recover soon so you can get back to being your normal self. ?

Thanks ladies. It's been yet another day where I couldn't do our normal things. I have a hard time even changing my youngest sons diapers. I had my step mom over today and she coming again tomorrow. Then my husband is off on sat and my mil is coming over sat after work to sleep over to help with the boys on Sunday as my husband works every Sunday. I can't even drive. It's hard and I've been in tears everyday about this. One because of the pain I'm feeling and two because of my sweet little boys who have been cooped up in the house all week. We are usually very active. Going to the stores, my sisters pool ect and not being able to function at 100% is tough. Shoot I'd be happy at even like 50% but right now I'm about 20%. It's just sad and I'm feeling very down about the way things are going right now. I thought I'd have some relief but there's really not been a whole lot of improvement.
