Planning baby shower
So long story short my sil (husbands sister) after 1 year of fertility treatments is pregnant with twins. I'm over the moon excited for them. So naturally I took it upon myself to start planning her shower which is October 18th. She's due dec 23rd. Well it's basically her mom my mil and myself planning the shower. Her husbands family (mom and sister) aren't much help. Her husbands sister is pregnant also due 1/2/16. Aibr for expecting them to help. It's just something I'm not used to my family was so happy to plan my baby shower and my dear sil helped plan it also!!!! I've been with her brother for about 15 years now so I've known her more then 1/2 her life and she's like a sister to me. Either way she's gonna have the best shower just needed to vent about how disappointed I am with them.

I honestly think to many people planning an event makes it harder. People clash and ideas get muddled. Take it as a blessing in disguise :)
Usually it's just a couple (2-3) people - especially when family - planning a shower from what I've found. Friends is the same but there can be more 'little Helpers' while a couple plan the event.
Remember, it doesn't need to be over the top. She's going to be thrilled that you guys planned this to celebrate her and little baby.
Good luck and I'm sorry they aren't more interested :( that does kinda suck.

I agree with pp, it's easier to do it on your own or with only 1-2 people helping. The more cooks in the kitchen the crazier it gets.
