Bedsharing with a toddler and newborn

We're fixing to be in the same situation. DD sleeps between us & new baby will sleep on the side of me (mostly sidecarred).

No idea how it'll go. Sounds like fun times though. Lol

I'm extremely excited to see how it goes, I'm nowhere near ready for DD to leave the bed, so I hope it goes well! ??

Honestly we couldn't wait to get our toddler out of our bed, don't get me wrong we loved the cuddles but we are all hot blooded so it gets uncomfortable plus she's a crazy sleeper..meaning we have all gotten a black eye more than once due to getting a foot to the face (we also have a king). We transitioned her before baby arrived and it just made it easier for us this way...my husband would take her to her bed and rub her head until she fell asleep. She is doing pretty good and it's been about three months. Yes there is some times she wakes up crying and my husband goes to comfort her and even ends up falling asleep but it doesn't happen too often. She now knows her routine and loves her bed. She does stay in our bed sometimes and when baby cries she really doesn't care or wake up, if she does she usually just rolls over and goes back to bed. The baby is in our room but in his own bassinet.

We did but we sidecarred the crib so ds was safe in his own spot and not getting squished. Dd was barely 2 and still not the best sleeper but she never woke up to ds crying. Now they are 2 and 4 and share a room and they sleep through any sounds the other one makes.

I slept with my newborn on my chest for the first 6 weeks, then moved to my bed. My son was 3 then, and would occasionally sneak in bed with us. When my baby was 8/9 weeks old, we left my abusive ex and stayed with my parents. We ended up sharing a queen sized bed for 2 months. The baby was in the middle and my son was on her other side. When we moved back home, we continued with bedsharing.
