Did anyone start lovenox without having test results back? I saw my high risk dr and im 15 weeks and he saw some placenta lesions on the ultrasound and had me do blood work..I have been bleeding off and on my entire pregnancy. He told me that the results won't be in for a 1-2 weeks. But since the placenta will be fully grown by 26 weeks he wants to start meds asap......has anyone else done this before?

I've not heard of this, wish I could say more than that. I was started on lovenox after getting a massive blood clot and then later found out I have factor 5 clotting disorder. Hope the next week or two does by fast for you.

My dr ran all my tests (factor5, lupus etc) and started lovenox at 8 weeks. At that point, hadn't even seen my baby. Lovenox is harmless to the baby and fine for you at therapeutic doses (40mg). I got lucky,myclot last year was estrogen caused but I will be on lovenox for my entire pregnancy.

Mine prescribed it to me as soon as I told him I had a blood clot a few years ago I've been it since like week 6

Thanks ladies....I got some of my test results back and as of now I was told that I have protien s, protein c deficiency amd antithrombin 3 deficiency. My dr told me with just those results it's enough to start lovenox
