Hi ladies so this morning DH did my Progesterone injection same as always and there was no blood when he first put the needle in and pulled back a little but after he did the injection and took the needle out I was gushing blood which is a first for us. Wondering if this is a blood vessel? Has this happened to anyone before?

??♀️I didn’t start gushing blood until about two weeks after starting the PIO shots and do every time now. Yesterday when I went to inject myself, I reached around a little too far and realized it felt too painful going in and thought I must have hit a vein and when I pulled back on the needle blood drew in through the needle and syringe and that was the first time that’s ever happened. When I went to inject myself into a different site I got it that time but when I pulled out there was a lot more bleeding and this time it dripped onto the floor and on my clothes. Sometimes I’ve noticed the oil leaking back out a little with blood and I always make sure to have gauze pads handy.
The bleeding occurs from running out of places to inject the progesterone oil and a vein may be nicked on the way in as long as there’s no blood coming back through the syringe because of the oil going into the vein instead of the muscle. Be sure to have gauze pads handy just in case because this may happen more than once. I know it worrisome but don’t worry you’ll be just fine!
