I was in complete shock.... I still went to get dessert and while I'm standing there in the line I heard someone say "who did he say that to?" So then I felt like people were staring and my face got super red and I got some banana pudding sat it on the table went outside to find my mom (we rode together) and just broke down in tears. We never went back inside or said bye just got in the car and left. I'm really upset I didn't even bring my damn plate of pudding tho

Thank y'all. I feel a little better about it I was just so freakin embarrassed I'm used to being tinyyy. And after my youngest I got nexplanon and gained weight and am having the hardest time losing it so when he said it it really got to me. I do have a big butt, so at first I assumed he was making an awkward joke (he is around 60 I'm 23) but then Idk it just really got me. And not only that, after I made my plate with some banana pudding and a homemade chocolate covered cherry, he stopped me in the kitchen and said he was joking then took my chocolate covered cherry and ate it. I just fake laughed and walked away. He is a very sweet guy ad I feel like it was just a really bad joke but it was just embarrassing. I mean here I am wth a huge plate of food, bigger than I've ever been, being told i don't need at dessert in front of all these skinny kids my same age and being laughed at. Ugh Idk when I talk about it I almost want to cry again lol

Tbh I read that differently. Are you sure he meant what you thought? Because when I read it I read it as he was joking that you didn’t need dessert because he wanted it all. Which could be wrong, but you’re in no way close to fat, and I can’t see someone making that kind of joke to such a distant relation and everyone laughing thinking what you thought.

ETA: that’s just how it reads to me. It seems you’re overly self conscious of your weight (and believe me you have no need to be you look hot)
