Tricare doesn't cover IVF, what other discounts please
Unfortunately Tricare won't cover IVF or IUI. My 1st child was conceived naturally but now compelled to undergo ivf for 2nd child after failed IUIs. Tricare won't cover ivf and so forced to pay outta pocket. Please do anyone have ideas as to other discounts or programs to explore to save money??? Am the Active duty member and not stationed close to any of available MTFs for this kind of medical procedure right now.

there are about 4 bases that do IVF at a discounted rate, but wait lists can be long and your responsible for all travel and lodging expenses. I don't know how it works as far as leave though. With it not being covered by TriCare you call around and ask if fertility clinics around you offer a discount on the services.

Thanks.none of the bases are close so will just explore Civilian doctors on my present location. Thanks .

Have you actually spoke with a Tricare Representative? I have been told by several people that Tricare does cover IVF now, but they don’t cover the cost to freeze/store your eggs or Sperm.

Aherrington : Thanks . I have in the past actually called them unless they started to cover it recently. It's clear even on the website that they won't cover unless it's an intercourse cycle. That's where they referred me to , to further understand that's it's not covered. But I will not hesitate to call them again during the week just to see again if something changed just within the past month. Even IUI isn't covered by them.
