Good luck with your ivf journey. My clinic is really good, they explain everything really well. I'm sure yours will be the same.

Asking them to show you how to administor the injections is good because i was gudsing so much that i could do it wrong. The nurses put my mind at rest.

I would suggest taking a diary with you and writing down everything for injection timetables and doctors appointments. I had everything on my phone and it beeped at me everyday as a reminder.

Be prepared when you say you’re ready to begin IVF for whatever cost they tell you plus the cost of medication. I didn’t take into consideration that the day we signed the consent forms we were going to have to pay for IVF plus had to order medication the same day. There are a lot of things to know about IVF: how often will you have to go into the clinic/what does the timeline look like (important if you work), will you have any physics restrictions along the way, will you get the embryos tested, how many will they transfer, what are your options with unused embryos, will the transfer be fresh or frozen (they may not be able to tell you this early on), do they need to do ICSI (common with male factor infertility), what are their success rates with frozen/fresh transfers or who do you call if you have an issue after hours. Hi Bolenchy, I have my Dr/Nurse consult on Feb 21st to see get the schedule on our IVF process. I'm looking forward to starting the whole process. I am going to be 45 in March and hoping the Dr says we can try with my eggs. I don't get my Day 3 labs results back until mid-week. Fingers crossed for us both!
