Newborn Econobums?
Has anyone had success using the newborn Econobums from birth? I'm just looking for a cloth diaper that will fit my baby from birth until he or she can fit into our toddler's one size bumGenius 4.0 stash. We're trying to keep it cheap, as I know the baby will only be wearing newborn diapers for the first 6 to 8 weeks or so. Trying to avoid disposables, but I've never used anything but pocket diapers so covers are new to me.

I have no experience with the nb econobums, but I do have two of the OS econobum covers and I use them regularly in my stash. I like them as well as I like the flips.

I have nicki's diaper covers and can go about 3 uses each diaper. My LO is almost 11 lbs and she can still get a good amount of use in them. I use them with fst and no leaks so far.

Flour sack towels and a few thirsties size 1 covers are cheap and work well.

Do you have to use snappi's for for sack towels?

I use snappies, helps keep it in place. I think it'll do fine without them. But maybe not If your little one moves a lot...where I used to work in we didn't use snappies on prefolds, and they were older infants. I'd say 5-18 months? We never leaked.

I use snappis, but when they are really little you can actually just use the origami fold and tie the wings.
