I ordered the one from kohls. The good news is I got $30 back in kohl's cash, which works for me since I shop at kohl's often. So I ended up "paying" $77 with the cash back. For me it evens out in the end. But if you don't shop at kohl's, I would jump on this deal from Amazon! Great price!

The car seat comes off the base and you leave the base in your car. You can buy graco strollers also that the car seat will attach to. When you get your car seat you can take it to a fire house or police station and they will make sure it is installed correctly. If you leave your base in your car, you know it's installed correctly every time you put baby in. If you have more than one car, you can buy an extra base separate too so you can leave it in that car. Does that answer your question?
