I feel like the laziest person ever!

I feel like the laziest person ever!

Before I got pregnant, I always kept the house clean, I kept up with the laundry and dishes, and I always had dinner ready when DH got home from work. I vacuumed every day and took pride in keeping a neat house. Now, I have been napping every day during our 2 year olds nap and our house has consistently been a disaster! I never have dinner ready anymore and I just feel like a lazy blob. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I feel like I'm not doing my part (besides taking care of our daughter). I feel guilty, but I honestly feel like I can't function or get through the day without a nap. I swear, I was not this exhausted when I was pregnant with my first! I'm 9 weeks today and I'm really really hoping that I get some more energy in the second trimester!

This is me! Lol but I would much rather rest and not feel like crap then worry about a little clutter on the counter or in the living room. It was hard for me to stop caring because normally I'm super OCD but the rest is helping me function and not be a total B?

Lol that is so true!!! If I didn't nap, I would be miserable to be around. And I feel ya, I totally have OCD tendencies as well? It's so hard. I just hope DH doesn't feel like I'm letting him down or that I'm being lazy. Growing a baby is exhausting! Especially when you're chasing a 2 year old around all day, like you said. Between mommy and me gymnastics, music class, small group through church etc I am beat!

I could've written this! I just feel mostly guilty bc I am usually super active with my daughter (2yrs), we usually go all over town and do fun stuff everyday. Lately I just can't do anything expect lay around at home :( My friends keep reminding me she'll never remember this couple months of not getting to do as much, and that she probably doesn't even care, but I still feel bad!

Girl I've been feeling the exact same way. I'm 10/2 and finally starting to feel a little more like myself. I could still nap at any point of the day but I see light at the end of the tunnel!

I'm going through this exact same thing. A couple days, I thought things were starting to turn around but today has been awful.

I am a fourth grade teacher. I literally sleep all weekend just so I can make it through the week. I've never been so tired in my life. My husband has been great with keeping up with the house, but I feel bad. I usually cook dinner and we split other chores. Lately he's had to hold it all together himself. And I'm 8 weeks 3 days, so there's a while until my first trimester is over.

So glad I am not alone. I can sleep 12 hours at night and then still need a nap. All you moms out there with other little ones.. More power to you. I can not imagine having to chase toddlers around. It is a struggle to go out and just walk. Hopefully 2nd trimester will get here soon!!

This makes me feel so much better. I'm so afraid that my partner is secretly bitter that I have not done s*** around the house. I'm normally very ancy and am always doing something. All I can do is lay on couch when not forced to work/maintain my business.

I'm super exhausted! I work 50+ hrs per week, have a 1 yr old and 7 yr old and feel like a zombie, I fall asleep half the time reading bedtime stories, I make quick and easy dinners, I can barely get a few loads of laundry done or the house vacuumed, my dh helps with dinner sometimes. He works over an hour away sometimes long days and I do mornings, daycare pick ups and bedtime... We are both suffering and I can't wait to have some time off over the holidays! Just to unwind and not feel like a zombie mombie.

✋✋ that's me!

Thankfully my husband saw how bad my last was ( he wasn't around during first two pregnancies) and understands I couldn't make this crap up!

I feel the exact same way. So useless. Hate that my house is a mess, can't even take care of my 4yo son. DH takes care of him mostly now, I am in my PJs all day miserable ?

Hello I'm just like that. A couple of times I cried to my DH telling him I feel so useless. He just assures me that a neat house is not the priority right now, but having a healthy baby ..

Don't be so hard on yourself momma you're growing a baby while taking care of a toddler. I'm sure your husband understands! You'll get a little more energy soon, just divide up the work plan to get at least 1 or 2 things accomplished each day.

This sounds just like me! But our baby is only 8 months old. It's all I can do to take care of him some days...I feel so bad for my husband. The laundry is higher than it's ever been. I can deal with being tired, but I've been throwing up every hour! It's so awful!!! I can't wait until the 2nd trimester!

I'm glad we're not alone! I feel so terrible. I've slept pretty much all of the past 4 weeks. I can't help it. No matter what I try an do my eyes just close.
