Tylenol for infants

How often do you give Tylenol to your littles? Specifically under 1 year?

My son is only four months and so far I have not given him any medicine and really hope to be able to keep it that way. Now if he gets a fever and needs it then I definitely will but so far (thank god) I haven't needed to. I think if he got a fever I would call the on call nurse and see at what point they would want me to give tylenol.

I did after her 4 month shots because she was obviously miserable and in pain, and then when she was 10 months old and had a fever.

I think I did once before reading about the dangers.

Only for high fever in babies under 6 months (bc other measures can't be used). Otherwise we don't use Tylenol at all.

Only for a fever.

My son is 2 year old and has never had Tylenol. He has had prescription medication for viral infections and I have used Ibuprofen and Mucinex kids (but not often).

Generally I try to stay away from medication. For fevers, I would try the warm bath and nursing (he just weaned 3 months ago).

I think I have once, when she had a fever of 103. I try to avoid it unless necessary.
