You have to be super safe about it. I was reading up on it one day because I was interested in why/how people manage to do it.

First, you must do it through a legitimate website. Craigslist is full of creeps and predators, and it wouldn't be difficult for them to locate you by where you're posting.

Don't send something with your name/address anywhere on it. It's best to purchase a PO box at the mailbox and receive checks or gifts there if you choose to. And post a return address to there.
