I can't stand to hear him cry
It pains me so much!! I'm an hour away from home and it's just me and my lo. I'm trying to do errands so I can get back home but he will not stop crying. He's fed and changed. He will not take a paci or eat. He just wants to be held which I can't do because I have to put him in the car seat to drive places. I know he is tired because as soon as I get him out to hold him he falls asleep but trying to put him back he cries. So here I am sitting in the back of my car with a sleeping baby in my arms. Not able to do any errands.

Poor things!! I have the exact same problem when I run errands too. I live about 45 mins from town so every time I go out I dread it!! I try to wait until SO can go with me because LO hates running errands and being in her car seat. Hopefully you can get them done quickly and get home. I feel for you

Something I would do when dd would cry in her car seat was sing. It would help calm both of us. She would still cry, thought not as hard. I couldn't always pull over. It was more for me to be able to make it until the next stop.

Thank y'all. He finally calmed down and as soon as I got going he fell asleep until I got home. He is taking a long nap now that we are home.

I found music helps. dd2 was Maroon 5. My first son was pretty much anyone. My dd3 was kings of Leon. And my last son is Hoizer.

I had the exact same problem ? her pedis and my doctors are in the medical center and traffic is all day in Houston. Once I switched her to a convertible car seat she loved car rides and fell asleep. My baby was the same all she wanted was to nurse and sleep in my arms. It would take 5 hours for me to run a few errands ?

This is the worst! I spent more time in the backseat with my newborn than I ever did with DH lol.
Both of my kids hated their infant seats. As soon as I switch to a convertible the fuss died down.
I'm glad you stopped and let him calm down. I hate when moms let the baby cry in the car because they want to get where they are going ?

I had this issue with my son when he was in his infant carrier. I switched to a convertible carseat and his fussing was little to none! He was much more comfortable and had some more room!
