I'm not having one either. I have no friends that I'm interested in entertaining and/or celebrating with. Hubbys family is up north along with my mom's side of the family. So it's just immediate family and my dad's side whom I don't talk to. So no shower for me. I'm planning on getting most of the stuff anyways for baby. Good luck and congrats! ?

Even if no one else buys anything most places will give you a registry completion discount. It's like 20% off but you only get it once so you have to make a great big order all at once to maximize savings.

It might be nice to make a registry for yourself to help you keep track of what you got and what you still need. And also for the discounts as someone already mentioned. Plus this way you can send out your registry to family members who might send you something. And if they do great - they will get you something you need and want.

Babies r us has a vip program and you get up to 10% back for everything purchased on your registry. You only have to hit $300 to start getting 10%. I would make a registry just for that haha
