I'm gonna be new to cloth diapering and would really love to try it out. I have seen all the different types and figure just using prefolds with a cover is maybe easier to start off but fitted sounds good too. Although I was just gonna get a few of each kind just to try it all out, but mostly prefolds first. I was just wondering if yall used certain kinds for the day and then a different at night? Or just keep the same routine all the time. Also how good are the wool covers? Is it something I should really invest in or no? I'm about to start building my stash I just wanted some insight first as to which types I need or would be better for newborn stage. Final question (sorry for all the questions) does anybody buy their diapers in a store or is it all online? I'm seeing a lot of websites and I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck buying them from an actual store. And if either is better than the other? Sorry for all the questions I'm new to all of this. Thanks in advanced though. (:

I am a lover of prefolds and covers! You want a good prefold. I have used both green mountain diaper and osocozy. For covers I made my own so can't help there. I used the same day and night for newborn. I didn't start using a "night time solution" till lo no longer woke up at night.
Wool is awsome but I would maybe wait till you need a night time diaper as they can be pricey and are sized.
There are some cloth diaper stores normally small high end or "crunchy" type shops. Some bbb and bru carry brands like bum genius and thirsty.
Check for a local cloth diaper face book page! I personally like to buy used as it is cheaper.

Prefolds are for sure a great and cost saving option to start with. For us we used same stuff prefold wise day or night. Another good thing about them is that prefolds can be used as a stuffer in pockets. As for store or site, I always preferred stores. I like touching and seeing and all. Lol. If you can find a store close to you then I urge you to go. They may have newborn deals and all

Don't forget flour sack towels! You can get them for $1 each at Walmart or Target in the kitchen towel aisle! You tube different folds. You can also use them just as you would a prefold.
