toddler not eating

My 20 month old doesnt touch her food very much! I have to keep pouches on hand all the times because she doesn't wanna eat. No meat, no veggies. She only likes bananas, raisins, yogurt, mac and cheese and green beans sometimes. Anything else, is a battle. I need advice on how to get her to eat. Force feeding is not an option. Tia!

You just described my dd recently too! Minus eating raisins(guess I'll have her try those) and black beans in place of green beans.

And with the Mac n cheese, it HAS to be velveeta single small packs. She wont even eat home made mac n cheese!

I have this issue with my son who is now 3. He basically stopped eating around a year and half. I kept expressing concern to his pedi and he said it's such typical behavior for kids and they will eat when they are hungry. My son will not eat meat unless it's chicken nuggets but he will eat any kind of fruit and of course, pasta. Refuses cheese, veggies, most yogurts, he's so tough. But I listened to his pedi and I let him eat all the fruit he wants and when he does get hungry, he will eat tons. I've also started blending veggies in with pasta sauce for him since he likes pasta with sauce.

I also bought the breakfast essentials in vanilla and I mix those with milk for both kids in the morning!

I have the recipes somewhere but they are for muffins for picky eaters. You combine baby food (fruits and veggies) with muffin ingredients and I guess they are so healthy and kids love them. I haven't tried them yet though!

My son is still gaining weight and growing so his pedi is not concerned. Maybe just try and bring it up to your LOs pedi next time and see what they say? It is so common though for this to happen. My moms group on Facebook just had a huge discussion on this and if seems everyone is or has gone through it. It's frustrating, I know, but it should pass eventually!

Yeap, I am in the same boat. My lo only likes chicken, hotdogs, strawberries, bananas, tomatos, yogurt, french fries, plain noddles, and spanish rice, cheese puffs, milk, and water. We are seeing an eating speacialist. She told us that he has a sensitive tongue, and to keep testing him out with different foods. Its been a battle, but we are getting there.
