day 2 of knowing
Today was day 2 of knowing that my pregnancy failed. I only got 2 hours of sleep last night, eveey time I closed my eyes and dreamed, the moments I learned the devastating news played over and over. As a result, I woke up crying. I wrote the baby a letter, took my ultrasound pics off the fridge and put them all together in the lockbox.. now am awaiting for the miscarriage to happen. Gosh I just want it over with. I'm choosing joy, because God is still good.. but choosing joy and feeling joy are two different things. Gosh I hope these crying fits stop soon. I'm scared to get pregnant again, but my 18 month old needs a sibling and I want another baby..but I'm scared to even become pregnant for fear of heartbreak again?. Sorry I'm posting so much. I'm just processing a lot.

You're breaking my heart because this is exactly how I felt. I'm so sorry other people go through this, it was so hard for me. Writing the baby a note gave me a lot of closure. It's been two months for me and I still cry about once a week over it. I am praying for you.

Thank you so much. I appreciate the prayers. It's a sucky place to be. Writing the letter and naming the baby helped me out a lot and after that the crying seemed to subside... this all sucks. No one should ever have to go through this.

You're post and feelings really resonated with me. You are right, accepting something mentally and emotionally/feeling it are two different things. I am so sorry for your loss.
Never be sorry for posting too much here, so many of us use this app as a journal. It's important to talk about your feelings and experience to process grief and heal. You'll find that someone else will usually relate and get a bit of peace from knowing they are not alone.

Right there with you! I did not sleep for weeks bc every week i was getting bad news when i was pregnant. I took advil pm after i knew i lost the baby to get a good night sleep. It did seem to help bc i didnt feel as sleep deprived and felt i had a clearer head. Nothing will take the emotional pain away but i have another child too and going on no sleep and being emotionally drained is really rough. Its been one week one day since i initially found out. Today i am stuggling with a lot of friends posting that they are expecting and they are all right around what i would have been. That has been really hard on me today. I am happy for everyone but am feeling a little sorry for myself today and did catch myself thinking why me. But since i shared the news with my close friends and family i truly cant believe how many women go through this. Some friends and family i had no clue. I guess not a lot of people talk about it. I feel like i have been telling more and more people so they understand why i may not be myself right now...

Oh girl, I'm sorry to hear that! I know what you mean. I have an 18 month old, so being there for her and being emotionally drained and sleep deprived has been SO HARD. I am glad I announced on fb that we were expecting and also for the miscarriage, because many people came out and told me their stories and suddenly I didn't feel alone. It's hard. It's so hard losing a baby..the emotional toll or awaiting a miscarriage is rough too.

My daughter will be three in a few weeks so i am not allowed to show any emotion because she picks up on it and then starts crying herself. I feel i havent had a really good cry yet because I always have to be strong for my daughter. Because i have been in pain the last few days after my d&c she has even been sleeping in my bed so i dont even have that time to myself! Usually i lay with her inbhee toddler bed but not doing it with the pain ive been having. Good luck with everything. Part of me wonders if i should have held off on the d&c bc six days post i have been in agony. I felt fine the first few days and now im its horrible. The doctor said i may have over did it.

Oh my goodness, I hope you feel better! That's why I don't want to do the d&c unless medically necessary. I'm praying I don't need the procedure because I can't imagine being in pain and taking care of my 18month old. I do hope you feel better and can get your good cry out. It'll help so much! Hugs!
