shots!! My baby gets her shots Friday! I'm soooooo nervous!!!! Any ways to cope with nervousness on…

My baby got his today and I had to help hold him down so I was concentrated on that. He also got all three within like 10 seconds and as soon as they were finished I picked him up to console him. The hardest part is now that we are home and he's a lot more fussy than he's ever been so that's breaking my heart now. I've just been snuggling with him since we've been home. I thought I would cry but I didn't...I was more worried about picking him up and making sure he was ok

It's really not as bad as you think it may be. They cry a bit and quickly get over it. I always gave my older daughter a dose of Tylenol before the visit to help her better cope with any discomfort she may feel afterwards. Nursing her right after the shot also helped a lot.

Oh our nurse had everything set up and he literally did all three shots in probably 5-10 seconds and the band aids were already ready so that took about 5 seconds and then I was able to pick him up. Honestly my son cried more when he put him on the side of the table and held his legs down. The first two shots he gave a little scream and the last one he really screamed but the nurse warned me that he would because that was the one that actually hurt when the medicine was injected into him. I also nursed him as soon as the nurse walked out and he was fine by the time we left.

My hubby will take her as he did with my 2 older daughters. Cant stand to see them cry or suffer!

My mom is going with me and I may be in the hallway. It makes me sad when she cries now. Let alone getting shots.

My daughter had hers today and it was hard in not gonna lie.. What calmed me down was as soon as it was done I picked her up and was able to console her.. She cried for no more than a minute..

The office I work at will have the mom wait to nurse the babies until after immunizations because it comforts the baby and they'll stop crying instantly

Mine gets his the 10th, and I think I'm not nervous because I've already seen him get a lot of blood taken, IVs and a spinal tap. Which were all awful but I had to do it, so I'm just telling myself there's no way it can be worse than that. Hang in there momma, you can do it ?

Even though I've been through it twice already it's still making me nervous. I know it's necessary and they'll be fine but just those screams are heartbreaking. My daughter gets her shots on the 12th so I have a little more time to prepare for it. There's really no way to make it easier except to comfort them afterward.

My daughter gets hers Monday and that's all I've been thinking about for almost a week. I want to cry just thinking about it so I know I'm going to cry when the day actually gets here.

My LO gets hers Friday also, I'm like you just wondering how it will go. We both will have to come back and post our experiences. I hope it goes well. I think my LO is tough bc she hardly cried when they had to check her blood sugar in the hospital when she was born. She made sad faces when their lips poke out and they have that big frown as if they are about to cry!

Yeah mine didn't cry during the vitamin k shot in the hospital, hopefully she doesn't cry with this. I'll be praying for everyone who has to give shots within the next couple weeks. Let's definitely update and let eachother know how it goes!!

The shots wore her out! She slept from 8:30-3:30 then back to sleep at 4:15!! Wish every night was like that!! And no fever!!

I always gave my daughter infants Tylenol15-20 minutes before her appointment. It seemed to help. I'll be doing the same again. I feel like it was always more painful for me to watch than it was for her to get them. But I still cried with her. By the time we got in the car and drove away, she was long over it.
