I'm a little disappointed because my in laws won't be attending my baby shower, because of crap that happened at my wedding between hubbys grandma and my dad. It kind of hurts my feelings because they can't get over it. My mom wasn't involved in the drama but they don't want to be anywhere near my mom. I can tell there will be issues when it comes time to see the baby, or any kind of birthday parties later on. I hate that it's so divided. Plus I'm tired and may be coming down with a cold so I'm just moody too. But come on... and hubby totally doesn't understand why it bothers me so. :(

Ur not alone!! Except my family and my inlaws pretend to get on... Then take it out on my hubby and I. I think ur lucky they don't want to see each other... Because when my families mingle it is so so so painful. I hope u find peace in the future and just remember who ur real family r... Ur kids! Goodluck :)

How selfish if them. They are acting like children. Who cares if they cant get along, they just have to put uo with each other a few times a year, if that lol. Im sorry thats crazy, im nit big on my in laws but would they ever in a million years know? No way. I speak my mind and we have argued many times but we always walk into the room togethet with a smile and start from there. Its hard but worth it in the end.

Yes I understand. My MIL has been acting rude since our wedding 2 yrs ago. She was so spoiled by my hubby and now she's jealous. She keep making excuses for her to make visits or us to visit her in NC like she had to get be windows in her house for thanksgiving and made up something else dumb for Xmas. Now she's like she will try to come to shower but it's hard to believe. Plus this is her first grandchild????

My father in law won't come to the shower because he doesn't want to see my mother in law. They've been divorced over 10 years. Some people don't know how to leave the past in the past. I was hurt too, but ultimately it's their loss if they don't want to come. They're the ones looking like a-holes.
