whew Just spent a couple hours registering! It was a lot of fun!!! the movies make those scanners…

I'm dreading the research, let alone the physical act of registering. ?

It wasn't too terribly bad. But it did get overwhelming towards the end!

Yeah...you probably were tired and just wanted to get done.

Once we figure out what the big purchases will be, I'm guessing it should be just a matter of showing up and scanning away. Some folks are telling me to register in two places to make it convenient for people who live near different stores. That sounds like an organization nightmare.

I had considered registering at target, in addition to buy buy baby, but I think if people actually look at my regisrry, they could find a decent amount of it at another store. But the idea of 2 stores sounds awful. Plus they make a neat feature of ordering online. I've been modifying my registry this morning. It's way easier than being in the store. I'd go for one store and people can find similar or the same items at other stores. :)

Wouldn't you be concerned about duplicates if people buy from another store? The beauty of the registry is that once a purchase is made, it comes off your list and cannot be purchased by a second person to avoid getting multiples of the item.

We had some duplicates from our wedding, I followed the same method. The things duplicated that I'd be worried about is the bottles but everything else I put is pretty standard from pacis to toys, and certain types of teethers. And blankets.

The big ticket items a lot of my daycare parents are donating to me, which I am so thankful for.. I may still do Target but it will be a week or two if I do it. :) it's a lot of work. Haha

I just registered on Amazon. Then location doesn't matter, and is a lot less exhausting. I did get the crib at target though since they happened to have one I liked.

Same here. I've been editting. And I put avent glass bottles on it but I'm debating just going strictly with the Playtex nursers. I know with those baby won't get air.. I'll probably edit all the time haha.

I created a registry at babies r us so that I would have the "experience" of creating one (which was not fun like I expected) and a week later I transferred most things to my Amazon registry and deleted the babies r us one. I like Amazon because it can be "universal" with products from multiple stores.

I feel a little more encouraged that this won't be as painful as I originally thought. ?
