Paranoid about pre school
So my 3 year old had a speech evaluation today and he was referred to attend early head start or pre school to help with his speech. He understands alot in english and spanish but the DR said he isnt expessing anything vocally if that makes sense. Anyways, im going to enroll him in both programs and see which is better. The only "problem" is that im so scared of how they will treat him and him not being able to tell me if something is wrong. Im a sahm and hes an only child so he will benefit alot being around other kids and the school setting but im so paranoid! Any tips to help relax me or if you ladies felt the same way, what questions did you ask the teachers/other parents?

I really don't know how 2 make you more comfortable but my DD is 3 and a half with severe speech delay as well. She started daycare in November and speech therapy and oh my God the combination of the two has done wonders. She's still delayed of course but everybody can see improvements. I just talked to her teachers and told them about her personality. And after they were around for a little bit they started to pick up on how she communicated. It's scary but definitely worth it.

Ds goes to developmental preschool, he loves it and has improved so much since going, he is using his words a lot more and everyday is using a new word! His behavior has also gotten better. I was a nervous wreck on His first day because he had never been in a class room setting before and wasn't good in group settings but his teachers said he is doing good. He loves going now to.
