Who is right?
My baby is 5 months old and will almost start solids. My aunt tells me when i start giving my son solids i should replace 1 or 2 5oz bottles of milk with only baby food cause he wont get full with only milk and also to start giving him water. I am a ftm but that does not sound right to me. Who is right? She keeps telling me i dont listen and she knows more and he wont get strong if i dont replace milk for soilds. It just doesnt seem right to me but im not sure how to add solids to his milk feedings when he starts. Advice please.
I did read that milk is always best but she just made me feel like i did not know what my baby needs. Thank you ladies for the correct infromation and now i know that my mommy instincts are right. ?
Inform ur aunt that ur DOCTOR who is educated and has degrees in child nutrition. Says it is recommend by the American academy of pediatrics to only introduce solid foods. They rely on milk for growth before 1 year old. They don't retain the nutrition from solids quite yet. Food before one is just for fun. Ur doing great. Don't worry about replacing solids for bottles. Formula or breastmilk is all ur baby needs to grow big and strong for now.
@pico anime is the best right!? ?
