Feeling s*** ty..

I’m having one of those kick me in the face, you’re a s*** ty mom, lowest of the low days ☹️. My dd is now six months and it’s like right when she turned six months the sleep problems began. She won’t sleep longer than a few hours at night and it’s a nightmare trying to get her to sleep every night. She screams and cries when I try and put her down. I feel like I can’t sleep train because she just screams her head off.

Doesn't it suck when you've been trying to do something for hours and then someone swoops in and does it within minutes ? hopefully you feel better. You're doing what needs to be done to provide for your family though, I give working parents all the props.

I feel as though babies sleep better for others than their own parents. My baby is 1 and he still doesnt go down early, its 2am and hes still up bc he waits for me to get home from work at 11:30pm.

You havent failed as a mom, you love and care for her and give her everything she needs

My son always went down way easier when my husband put him to bed. Even if he’d been fighting me for what felt like hours, I’d pass him to my husband and he’d be out cold within 5 minutes. Tore me up every time. Don’t beat yourself up. We all have hard days. There’s a lot of guilt that comes along with being a working mom. You & your daughter are lucky to have your mom. Think of how special it will be for her to have two amazing women who she is close with!

I was in this exact same situation with my first who my MIL watched. It broke my heart how she seemed to know my daughter better then me, but she recognized that I was having a hard time and shared her tip. She said she firmly believed that babies feed off of your emotions so she always hummed her favorite songs to my daughter to calm her down and get her to sleep. I started keeping that in mind and thought calm thoughts and hummed while putting DD down and it totally worked! Maybe it was a coincidence, but it's working great for DD2 as well. Being a working mother is so, so tough, you're basically superwoman, mama! Cut yourself some slack and try to remember that everything is just a phase.

Wyatt ALWAYS does so much better for my mom. Goes down without a fight and sleeps almost the entire night. I used to feel like a shat ass mom. But then I remembered, I always behaved so much better for my grandparents or anyone else that was watching me lol if you are still nursing then she smells you and has missed you so much since you've been gone. Please don't feel like a bad mommy. You're a wonderful mommy and it will get better ?

Thanks ladies! I’m hoping for a better day today. Jane has been like this all week really, but I guess yesterday was my breaking point with it. Right now I’m up at 5am because Jane won’t sleep so ?? just gotta keep it together.
