Decreased fetal movement
Decreased fetal movement
So today is my due date! It doesn't look like my baby girl is coming any time soon, but lately I haven't been feeling her as much. It's driving me absolutely crazy with anxiety. I brought it up and my appointment today so I was sent for a NST. Everything was completely normal. I keep hearing "baby is running out of room", but then I'm being told that's a myth! Anyone have any insight to this? I'm freaking myself out all day thinking something is going to happen. Also, how far is it okay to go over my due date? My doctor said two weeks! She is estimated to be nine pounds already! How in the hell am I supposed to go another two weeks without having a giant baby? I don't know.. ?

Are you counting kicks? Weights are constantly off and you body can push out a child far bigger than 9 lbs.

Do your kick counts. When I was late in my pregnancy, I could poke at my belly and get my kids to move for me, which was really comforting. 2 weeks is the norm for most doctor. Estimated weights are just that, estimated. Take that with a huge grain of salt unless you have a history or having big babies yourself. Try to relax, I know that's easier said than done.

Yeah I'm counting kicks and sometimes she hardly moves still. Like instead of 10 movements in an hour it will be like 6.

My dr said 10 in 2 hrs

I believe it's 10 kicks every two hours. I'm really high risk when pregnant and that was what I was told by my high risk Dr. Oh and baby DOES run out of room. It's not a myth. I mean you have a growing human inside of you. Lol.

Eat something and lay on your left side. Give it 10 kicks in 2 hours and if you don't get to that I'd go in, but that's just me.

This whole time I thought it was ten kicks in one hour ??♀️ I swear doctors just expect you to know what to do lol.

Each doctor says something different. My doctor says 6-10 kicks in 1 hour. I don't need to do kick counts because i swear my son does karate ? but if you feel worried give your doc a call. But if you're getting kicks, I think you're fine.

Drink a glass of orange juice and see if that helps, but they do run out of room.

It's not only the number of kicks that's important. It's also what's normal for your baby. If you're noticing a change in her movement pattern, that can be significant too. Trust your gut. If it doesn't feel right, call in or go in to be monitored.

Yeah waffles, that's sort of the problem. She was moving A LOT before and in the past couple of days she started moving way less. Not much else I can do when they already checked her and everything was fine. I'm just hoping I have her soon so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I'll be worried about something else I'm sure, but still lol.

I was told by my ob 10 kicks every hr . But like said before know what's normal for your little one . They get super sleepy too , so if she's fine she might just b a sleepy little one .

I was sent to do a NST . They told me 10 in 2 hours. And that's not for every hour of the day. If they usually aren't active at a certain time it wouldn't be be a good time to try and count or keep up with it. You want to do it when they are usually active.
