Anyone get back pain this early? The left side of the middle/upper side of my back has a sharp pain and I'm only 7 weeks! It gets better with a heat pad and I can only sleep on my back and propped up a little bit. It gets worse when I sit for too long. It also hurts more when I take a deep breath.

Get checked by hospital to make sure (it's not eptomic) but I've had back pain this entire pregnancy 7.5 weeks and my last pregnancy with my son too. Everything is stretching and opening up so it's not to worry too much unless the pain is unbearable or accompanied by bleeding

I completed 6 wks of my 2nd pregnancy today. Low back pain is normal, esp if it goes away with a bit of heat application. If its unbearable, talk to ur doc. I have had days when i could not sleep all night...but its slightly better now...but im expecting more pain as the body stretches to accomodate the baby.

I just had my first doctor appointment yesterday and had a transvaginal ultrasound. If it was ectopic wouldn't they have seen that? I'm not sure really. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Yes they would have mentioned it to you at your ultrasound if it was ectopic. My first ultrasound, she came out and said "baby is where it should be so not ectopic". That's one of the first things the look for. Back pain with me is more like a quick ting of sharp pain and then it's done. And it's always when I get out of bed. I think it has something to do with how I lay. But as long as you're not doubling over in pain, it's probably normal.
