Is it so wrong?
That i want to celebrate my babies first holidays. I did it with my oldest and it's unfair to my youngest if I don't. Every single time I go to book photos, or do home photos it's something. "You just did it for Santa/Christmas" okay and? Is it facking Christmas right now? I didn't buy dresses for them to sit around in. "Well I didn't do it when I was little " okay and? I did it when I was little , just because your family didn't doesn't mean our children can't.

People are going to have opinions no matter what. You always seem to get charged up. Just do you.

Just let them have their opinion. Everyone has one. Why are you letting it bother you so much?
Shay·
Because it's their dad that's complaining, all I did as ask if he wanted to go with. I've paid for everything and I'm paying for 1 picture.

Are you guys together? If so, maybe this is something y’all need to sit down and discuss. If he doesn’t want to be involved, so be it. If y’all aren’t together, no need to even invite him or let him know the next time. Problem solved.
Why do you feel it’s unfair to your youngest if you don’t do the same things you did with your oldest?
Shay·
I want her to be able to have the same experiences to look back on. I'm making both of them scrapbooks of their firts to celebrate their life and as a present for their graduation day. In my family we've always celebrated firsts. We always went to see Santa and the Easter bunny.
My oldest also loves taking pictures with her sister and this would be her first time too.

We are currently co-parenting. We had discussions regarding this before we split. He's not my oldest's biological father. He had no issue doing these things before my youngest was born, he would actually be excited to celebrate. To me that's treating them differently, which I can not stand for. I just want my children treated as equals.

Just do it the way you want it op, to hell with what anyone else says

Maybe he just simply doesn’t have an interest in doing these things with you anymore since you’re no longer together. I co-parent as well and I already know there are things that my daughter’s father and I simply will not do together. We celebrated her first birthday together, but I doubt we will do that again. We do holidays separately, we take her to the park separately, he does his thing with her and I do mine.
Do you think he could possibly feel like he’s already done these things with your oldest and since she isn’t his biologically, it took some of the excitement away from doing it with the child you share since they aren’t technically firsts for him?

Its not wrong to want to, but you cant force him to do something he doesnt want to do or get mad if he doesnt. You two arent together anymore, so maybe that is a factor for him.
Dont get me wrong, you have every right to feel upset and dissapointed that he doesnt want to take the picture with you, its human to have feelings.

@leslie, it's not so much as a picture of us all. Just a picture of him with the girls, then I'd take a picture with the girls.
I grew up in a split home where holidays were either fights or 2 seperate things where if see my dad in the morning, my mother at night.
@queen, I have no idea. He's willing to do egg hunts, dinners, lunches, whatever on the day but when it boils down to just a professional picture with the girls it's not a simple answer, which I'm fine with if he'd just say "no" not all this and that then gets mad when I say I just won't do it then. I'm at the end of even trying with anything.
