Will she be okay?
My 5month old just tried eating a waffle. No idea where she got it, unless she snatched it from her sister and hid it. She was chewing on it about 15secs before I noticed. Her blanket is smeared with the sprinkle colors, so I guess that's where she put it ?

she will be fine! she just wanted a waffle ?♀️

I think she'll be fine, just keep an eye for anything out of ordinary with behavior or rashes.
deleted-user·
She'll be fine don't worry :)
Shay·
@aty She's been trying to take food for a while, but I don't want to start till 6 months. She just doesn't want to wait lol.
Shay·
Thank you gals. I'll deffinitly keep a close eye on her. She just got done bf and is napping.
deleted-user·

Shay·

i dont plan on giving her solids, im scared lol
Shay·
She's also sick right now ? scared to let her eat them but we're doing home made purees first.
deleted-user·
did she get sick from the waffle? or before
deleted-user·
It’s just a waffle. She will be fine
deleted-user·
Awww :)
I'm sure she will be fine, it's just a waffle.
Too cute picturing a little one sneaking in a gobble of waffle lol
Shay·
@aty Before, it's a little cold.
But she just had a blowout all over her bed ?
To add to my post: Her sister had pure maple syrup on them, which is why I was worried

Lol am I the only one who pictured her baby looking around and snatching the waffle, hiding it under her blanket, and then looking around again, hurriedly shoving it in her mouth, all the while smugly thinking about how she finally got a bite of the yummy smelling stuff they all eat?.
deleted-user·
^^haha i did too ?
Shay·
@not she actually did it with one piece ??? the waffle was cut up, so she snatched a whole hand full
deleted-user·
I'd be more concerned if she didn't want waffles.
deleted-user·
Lol, I'm sure she'll be fine. Just watch for rashes and other signs of a reaction.
Shay·
So far so good on all that. Behavior is the same as always thankfully.
deleted-user·
Sounds like she will be more than ready for foods when you start them ?
deleted-user·
She will be fine. It’s funny that I can also picture what the pp stated. I was visualizing it while reading post lol

She will be fine. I gave dd1 a waffle when she was about 8 months. I cut it up and she gagged on a piece. It was the first time she ever gagged that hard and I practically ripped her bouncer apart trying to get her out. She had already stopped gagging and looked at me like damn lady let me go. ?
Shay·
@Chan I was more worried about the syrup on it lol
deleted-user·
I wish I can have a waffle with syrup. I can’t even do breakfast food while pregnant. I hate it! So I’m jealous right now!

Maple is ok as it comes from tree sap and is heated to make it edible which would kill any potential toxins so allergy is the only real concern. It's not like honey if that's what you meant was concerning you.
Shay·
@nene, would pure maple be made any differently?
deleted-user·
That's how pure maple syrup is made

I just wanna say what a great mom you are! You're concerned about your 5 month old eating a piece of waffle, when there's moms feeding their 4 month olds a full Mc Donald's happy meal. Not feeling a bit of guilt if their kid will be okay. ?
Shay·
Thank you @gabby ?
