Sleep training ?
Dd has overall been a great sleeper since she was a wee little newborn. These last few weeks she has suddenly refused to sleep in her bed. We now bed-share, and while I love having her close to me, I don't sleep well at all. I need to get her back onto her schedule, but she's fighting me. I'll get her to sleep, put her in her bed, then she'll wake up and start up the water-works. I really am not comfortable with doing the CIO, but variants of that are about all I'm finding online.

Try looking up "the gentle sleep solution"

I'm in a similar boat. My lo is 1.5. I rock him to sleep and then lay him down in his crib. He wakes up 2-3 hours later and I bring him to bed with me. It's become his habit at this point. I'd like for him to stay the night in his crib. ?
We did "pick up, put down" to get him to nap in the crib (around 9 months), and I've been thinking about doing that for night wake-ups too... but I think it's going to be awful.

I'm no expert in any way, but I just started sleep training my 1 year old for naps using pick up put down. I put him to sleep how he's been put to sleep, bottle then cuddles. When he's fast asleep (lift the arm up and if there's no resistance and it falls back down I'm reassured he's out cold) I'll lay him in his crib. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I'll repeat until he stays aslee. I've gotten 1.5 hours out of him in a row so far for a nap. But I'm not comfortable with distress or crying as I think it's unnecessary. Good luck mama!

I'll look up the gentle sleep solution and pick up and put down.
She's almost 7 months, and isn't in her own room yet. Her bed is currently the pack n play which I have set up right next to our bed. It's close enough that she can see me and I can reach down and touch her from my spot. Up until this point I've been able to nurse her to sleep then lay her in there, no problem. But now as soon as I lay her down she wakes up and starts crying. Or if I'm lucky I'll get 30 minutes of her sleeping until she wakes up, realizes she's not next to me, and starts up the crying again. Even when she was colicky and going through her sleep regression and woke up 8273929 times a night, I could still get her to lay back down and either go to sleep or stay asleep.
Could it still be separation anxiety even if I'm in eyesight?

She's probably just old enough now to realize that being next to mommy is awesome. Of course she'd prefer to sleep in your arms!
It might be time to start putting her down "drowsy but awake" so she learns to go to sleep on her own. I'd try the pick up put down for 3-5 days and see if she catches on to that.
Let us know how it goes!!

We just went for a check-up, and the Dr recommended a book called "The Sleep Book for Tired Parents".

Thank you! I'll definitely check that book out.
I tried the pick up, put down when drowsy and it didn't work. But I'm not giving up! I think part of it is she suddenly stopped using her paci, but still wants to comfort nurse. The paci used to work for that, when she would start fussing I could pop it in her mouth and she'd be back to sleep. But now she starts crying if I try to give her the paci ?

If you figure it out please let me know! ? We started to cosleep and haven't been able to get her back in her crib since. I'm actually kinda accustomed to it now though. I feel comfortable next to her.
