What would you have done?

So I had to take my 8 yo daughter to the dr this morning, for a sore throat with red patches. The dr orders a strep test. No big deal, but my daughter HATES them and freaks out at the idea of it. Well the nurse comes in to do the test and naturally my daughter gives up a little fight. She wasn't screaming or kicking or anything, in fact she was giggling trying not to cry saying she was scared. I'm talking to her telling her it's ok and it'll be over before she knows it. Just seconds later, the nurse gets and attitude and says "ok fine" and storms out the room. We're confused now, where is she going? A few minutes later she walks back in with a male nurse who is 3x my size. He goes straight to my daughter tells her to lie back and as she's doing so, he grabs her face and holds her nose. The nurse swoops in and does the swab. It all happened so fast I didn't know what to do or say. I flipped out and they just left the room. I felt like the nurse should have at least asked me what I thought about them restraining my child and forcing her to do something that she was afraid of! I know that the test was necessary, however I know my child and I know she would have done it without a fight, with just a little pep talk, and some patience. I feel like the lady never even gave her a chance...ANYWAY.. I got the nurses names and I plan on filing a complaint, but first I just wanted to know what you ladies thought.. Am I overreacting? How would you have handled that?
