So awesome! I just moved out of the country into the city and I'm so sad. Kids and I would go out on adventures just walking around the property.. I asked dh not to mow a chunky section of the property to let it grow wild so the kids can learn about different plants, animals and bugs that depend on wild grass.
I don't even want to go outside now that we're in the city.. my neighbors are super nosey.
They have gotten to experience so many things in the past month out here.
Death (we had a duckling pass due to weather)
The birth of 8 baby bunnies
Planting garden
Hand feeding our goats
Forest walks (nut & leaf identification)
Rock hunting
Watching the chicks grow to chickens
So many things they couldn’t do in town!
My sons only 5 and now he knows the miracle of birth and how some animals lay eggs and others have babies from the womb.
I feel like they were missing so much living in town.
And I agree, when I lived in town I didn’t go outside much with them because our neighbors were so nosey. Now we are all outside in the grass bare feet picking baskets of grass for the goats.
Can’t wait to start tanning in the sun without having to worry about cars driving by ?
Can't wait to buy a house with property! We can do all the things hubby and I couldn't do as kids. I'll take country over city life any day. I can't even handle going to the city for shopping. Makes me want to go insane!
It’s finally 70s here and I went outside with no shoes on and my daughter almost had a heart attack. She didn’t know you could go outside without shoes on... that’s enough proof that she grew up in town ?
