Back in the hospital. I’m suffering from every symptom of tubal pregnancy other than bleeding. Finally got in for a ultrasound and thank god it’s not tubal. However now they are trying to figure out what is wrong with me. When I stand my heart rate shoots up to 158bpm, and they keep mentioning a CAT scan. But after just finding out that the baby is safe I am having a hard time choosing to do the CAT scan. Sounds like they think I have a blood clot. I’m so scared. I tried over a year for this pregnancy. I don’t want to risk anything.

If they think it’s a blood clot, please please please let them find out. That can be so dangerous. I’m so glad baby is okay. You need to make sure you’re alive and well too, if you want your baby to be healthy. I’m praying for you, sweetheart.

I would do the CT scan. I did one while pregnant and I have a healthy 12 month old girl. I’m not sure where they want to scan you but it sounds like the benefit might out-weight the risk. If you have a clot, that can be fatal for both you and the baby. Maybe you can ask for an ultrasound. When I thought I had a clot in my legs while pregnant they were able to perform an ultrasound on my leg. Once again, not sure where they want to scan you so don’t know if that’s an option.

Have them do a d-dimer blood test. If it comes back elevated you most likely have a clot. At that point have them ultrasound your legs. If that's negative, take the CT scan.
