My 19 month old just started saying this! Omg, I feel horrible. We're just making extra sure to not slip up in front of him. Hopefully.... He just forgets! Lol.
My toddler has said "oh s*** " for about a year. Luckily it is very, very rarely.
Last week I hurt myself and said "_uck". She walked around saying "uck, uck, uck" for about 10 minutes and I haven't heard it since. I'm also watching my mouth.
Yes it's so hard especially that word. My two year old will put her hand on her hip and say bad word mommy. Sometimes she will spank my hand too. Lol She is so silly. I swear I need a swear jar for this house.
I swear in front of my kids not excessively but I've taught them from the beginning that there are things adult do that children do not. I have not had a problem not even when they were very little. Not that they have never repeated me or my husband.
That happened with my son too and i had to catch myself every time a curse word was going to slip. I tell him he can only say "oh man" lol so he might slip once in a great while and he says "sorry mom, i say oh man" lol
That's one pro about a two year old with autism...he doesn't mimic words so even when we slip, he's okay for now. His only mimics are go and come on. But the armband thing works well. It's pavlovs theory at use.
My coworker always says shoot darn it because or her kid. It's so funny especially when she's really pissed and I can hear her yell shoot darn it! from across the restaurant ?
I accidently said beyotch in front of my son earlier, hes 4 though so he only said it once, i told him not to say that its a mama word and he said okay. Lol but at least it wasnt b***h.

Haha my son has said it too. Now he says oh god oh gosh. My husband is worried he will say it in front of his parents. He also says jeez.

This may sound crazy
But i used curse like a sailor
And i tied an elastic band or hair tie around my wrist and whenever i cursed id flick the band against my wrist so it hurt
Then i eventually stopped cursing coz i didn't want to keep flicking my wrist it really worked tho didn't take too long either Haha

The rubber band on your wrist really worked for me!!!
And make sure your SO also agrees to stop cursing.
