With kids, you would hate laminate or vinyl lol we have it and even with us being on top of it, it's gotten scuffed so bad it's embarrassing.

We have vinyl downstairs and it's sooooooooooooo much better. It gives me stress. I pretty much cry anytime I hear anything drop on it ???. The rest of the upstairs is carpet, but we plan to finish it out to match the kitchen/front entry eventually. I might actually cry then though with the stress of it ????

The rug is pretty awesome...except for being a mostly white rug, in the kitchen of a klutz and kids who trample through the kitchen in shoes ????

Think geek! I'm getting a small one and putting it in our bathroom and replacing this one with a death star. I wouldn't recommend it for high traffic areas. Unless you enjoy soaking it in a tub with blue dawn monthly because it gets so gross ???
