And I still forgot the distilled water for my clear ice attempt #5

How the heck do you keep that many strawberries fresh for two weeks? They'd be growing fuzz in my fridge on day four
squishymommy1·
The strawberries will be gone in a day. There is 6 of us.
deleted-user·
Look at your baby in the back!! "Mom, let's do this already!"
squishymommy1·
Some are being puréed for waffles too...but mostly they'll just get eaten just as they are. And quickly. Fruit, raw broccoli and cherry tomatoes don't last long
squishymommy1·
Oh he was pissed. He dropped his pizza ?
deleted-user·
Here neither thats how I was confused cause I'm shopping for fresh fruits and veg every few days.
squishymommy1·
They'll be eating mandarin oranges in a cup and applesauce in a pouch by the last few days. Costco is an hour each way. I only go every 2 weeks so they get fresh stuff for like the first week and a half ?
deleted-user·
I did this last night. I just have to go to the farmer's market tomorrow. I'm hitting the countryside.
deleted-user·
Is that juice strap high enough?
deleted-user·
That wouldn't last in this house for more than a few days. Lol
Love the juice in the seat :)
squishymommy1·
Sadly our farm stand doesn't open until late July ?
I don't think the chest clip is properly aligned for maximum injury reduction.
deleted-user·
I wish there was a Costco closer than 5 hours from us! Love that place!
deleted-user·
Sounds like this Costco is kind of like our SAM's club? Do you buy in bulk there? SAM's club has recently become one of my customers, so I'm in there every day. They have a big box of 1,000 count pampers wipes for 15.00!!! I want to get a membership there just for that! Lol
deleted-user·
Love Costco! The fact that Costco is down the street was one of my reasons for buying my house ?
squishymommy1·
It's kind of like SAMs in that's it's a club that you pay for. I think the stuff is a million times better then SAMs club though, and they are far better to their employees since it's not Walmart.
I will now spend the next 3 hours putting it all away ?
deleted-user·
I have memberships to both Costco and Sams club. Costco requires you to use either a debit card, checks, or cash. They only accept American Express credit cards. Or at least that's how it was when I signed up. They are essentially the same store except Costco does a lot more of their own generic products.
deleted-user·
Love Costco. We sometimes go just for the cheap Hot Dogs and then walk around eating samples. So fun!
deleted-user·
That pancake mix is amazing. Now I want pancakes.
squishymommy1·
It's the best pancake mix! Makes light and fluffy waffles too. They have delicious hot dogs and pizza! So cheap. I spent $7 on lunch for me and my littlest and got their hot turkey sandwich which is sooooooooo good.
deleted-user·
I love Costco!
deleted-user·
This reminds me that I need to go grocery shopping soon. I love shopping...I hate carrying it all in.
squishymommy1·
Yes Costco only accepts AmEx and debit or cash. SAMs club doesn't take visa.
squishymommy1·
I only like shopping on Saturday so I can stuff my face with samples ?
squishymommy1·
We have a big family so the $700 I spent today is more like $1600 or so if I went to a normal grocery store. Fish. Fish is the big one. I can get a beautiful piece of salmon that's large enough for all 6 of us (roughly 5 lbs) for less then $20. It's $20 A POUND at my local store.
deleted-user·
I love Costco! I need to get a membership so I don't have to go with other people. Haha.
I love the samples.
squishymommy1·
If you go a lot and spend a lot get the gold membership. It's totally worth it.
deleted-user·
I want to renew my membership but we really need a deep freezer and a bigger car for it to be worth it. ?
And I can't go alone with the kids and Dh and my mom are a pain in the ass in a store.
I miss Costco though. ?
squishymommy1·
I really wish there was one closer to us. Going is basically an all day thing.
squishymommy1·
Just add water! (Waffles require eggs and some oil I think?)
deleted-user·
Niiiice! We have a Costco about 40 minutes away but they are building an Aldi down the road. Have you ever shopped there, OP?
deleted-user·
Yay!!!! I love Costco!
I use that krusteaz for everything! Mini donuts, biscuits, pancakes, muffins, quick breads, chicken Parmesan. You name it!
I feel guilty, we can practically see Costco from our house through the trees.
We don't gas up anywhere else either. The gold membership is worth every penny and it really pays for itself.
How's your fridge doing? Did you get a new one?
squishymommy1·
We do have an Aldi...but it's really small so pretty much sucks ?. You can get some good deals sometimes but overall it's pretty crappy.
Kpatrick....we got it fixed. It was apparently frozen solid. They had to take it apart and de-ice it and it works again!
squishymommy1·
And chicken parm?!?!?! Really? Just sub in place of flour?
deleted-user·
We do the same thing! Our membership is free because we earn so much back each year. Do they issue the certificates through out the year? We get ours in November but I went yesterday and the person in front of me was using theirs to pay.
squishymommy1·
I have no idea? I don't remember when we got ours. I cleaned out the cabinet and found it yesterday ?????
deleted-user·
I want a polish dog and chicken bake thing. ? awe man. Do I have to be a member to eat their delicious food? Lol. ??
squishymommy1·
No! You don't have to be a member to eat at the cafe thing in the front.
deleted-user·
I saw online if you use boiling water, you'll get clear ice
squishymommy1·
I've tried that. I tried our tap water (we have an RO system), bottled drinking water, bottled purified water (boiling of each and without boiling) and I've moved onto distilled water. Boiling twice, wrapping in Saran Wrap an sticking in a cooler in the freezer ?
deleted-user·
Yes! For Chichen Parm!
When I'm being lazy. ? I just skip the flower and entirely and use krusteaz, the idea hit me when I saw a recipe with a little baking powder, tiny bit of salt and sugar for taste. I thought what? That's essentially pancake mix!
I wouldn't use it for something like Chicken Cordon Blue, well, actually I have, I just use breadcrumbs as well for that one!
squishymommy1·
We are having chicken parm tomorrow!
deleted-user·
My favorite store...lol
Unless I have to work that day
deleted-user·
Costco's contract with AmEx has ended so soon you'll be able to pay with other credit cards!
And you can use visa at Sam's club. I have.
deleted-user·
I hope it's yummy! I might just make that for dinner tomorrow too loI.
I'm so glad you guys could get your fridge fixed!
Yes. Sadly the Amex partnership ends in March 2016. The will be starting up a very similar one with Chase at that time. They take all forms of debit, including food stamps I believe just no credit cards besides Amex for now.
squishymommy1·
It might have been your debit card. They don't accept visa credit cards in store. Just online.

squishymommy1·
$167 to fix it ? if I would have known I would have just emptied it entirely and unplugged it until the ice all melted.
squishymommy1·
I did not....because it's 15 miles farther then the Lake in the Hills one ? but I considered it because I can't get New Glarus cases in IL. They are building one in pleasant prairie over by Kenosha too. Also I didn't know you were semi local! Hi neighbor.
squishymommy1·
They are all about equal distance from me. Lake in the hills, lake Zurich and the one you go to give or take 10 miles. Either way I'm driving an hour ?. I might give yours a try next time. So I can get some new Glarus cases.
squishymommy1·
Pleasant prairie will also be about an hour ??? why can't they just build one in Janesville ??????
deleted-user·
Sam's takes visa, at least my bank statement says so from when I spent 400$ there a few days ago ?
squishymommy1·
New Berlin you say? That's only 45 minutes ?????? fantastic!
