Haha! I was going to post a picture of my bedroom but I don't feel like picking up the dirty laundry :-P

I think this would be more comfortable than any hospital room, no matter the size!

I'm curious. Whos job is it to empty the tub? What do you do with it, is it considered hazardous waste being full of bodily fluids?

I want a home water birth! That sounds so much better then being at the hospital.

I'd love a waterbirth, just not in my home. It's tiny and cluttered and I can see being annoyed at my dog barking or my toddler jumping on my head.

My midwives drained the tub to my front lawn lol. Or it can go down a drain but since I only had a shower that wasn't too practical.

The water was actually really clear until after I gave birth and stood up to get out of the tub.. then it kind of looked like a shark attack.

I wanted to have a water birth SO bad!!!!

What is the tub made out of and does the water stay warm?

The tub is a hard plastic outside with foam on the inside and a plastic liner that goes over that and then another liner that's disposable goes over that. There are heaters that go into the first liner and keep the water at temp. It won't heat it, but it will keep it at 100 degrees.

It has to be 98-100 degrees. To cold and baby will breathe underwater, to hot and it can cause problems from mom and baby overheating.

Im really curious about this. Sorry I have never seen a "home tub" lol it looks small? Will you fit it in?

It's 175 gallons. Like 12 people can fit in it ???

Yours looks fancy! Mind was just a blow up tub but I loved it still! Mine was in my living room :)
