Shes to small for her carseat. Had it tightened all the way up and its still to loose. Had to fold blankets behind her in order to make it snug enough to bring her home. Gunna have to get an insert for it
I hate the internet because of reasons like this. Everyone is so over opinionated. You have a 4 year old so I am pretty sure you know what the heck your doing lol.
Be sure to get an insert from the car seat manufacturer. The random cute ones they sell aren’t crash tested. If you already knew this, carry on 😊 she’s adorable.
There was no negative comments on here until the last two, she posted and we just wanted to make sure she didn't miss anything to help her have her baby be safe! Looks like she knows what she is doing but we are all human and miss things. Three kids later and I'm still learning!
She’s so beautiful. Love her chubby little cheeks!!! Ignore these people, you got her home the safest way you could and can deal with that when you need to worry about another car ride. They all should’ve been teachers since they obviously have so much to share whether you ask or not 😂 congratulations on your little princess! She’s perfect 💕

@blessedmommy-2, that is not safe to use in a car seat. It was not tested by your manufacturer for your car seat. An after market product is anything that did not come with your seat and that makes it unsafe. It interferes with the way the car seat performs in a crash and the tightening of the straps.
@blessedmommy-2 if you read ANY carseat manual it says no aftermarket products. They will say this to get people to buy it. It's like wearing a heavy coat in the carseat. To much padding.
Aww how cute the baby 😍💕 get a snuzzler those work so good to keep them safe and cuddled in and they also have them 2 sided as in a hot side and cold side for variations of the weather. It’s a life saver trust me
On the back of the seat there should be a smaller setting where the straps attach the the metal. The top one is for small babies. You may have already looked but making sure!
Are the straps below her shoulders? Straps pass the pinch test and the shoulders? If not you will need a new seat before she can go home in it (unless someone can run to your house to look for the insert that came with it). You can use rolled up receiving blankets on either side of her to make her more snug.
@mokimbo its on the smallest setting already. There isnt another way to tighten it any more than it is now. My nurse even came in and looked to see if it could before we left. The only option i have is get an insert or buy a complete different carseat. Im going to get one through the company that made the carseat so not to worry. She'll be safe. Im a worry wort anyways so i take all precautions
Yeah i was planning on one from the manufacturer lol. She can't even fit in newborn outfits. Shes wearing a premie right now and its still swallowing her. Nothing fits well enough except the one premie sleeper i have for her.
Inserts are not safe to use unless it came with the seat. Did you check to see if it's set up for newborn use? I don't know this particular seat, but there are many where they have loops on the straps for when they are newborns and then a different set of loops for when they bigger. Double check your manual.
