Words

How many words does/did your 15 month old say? I know some babies are different but just kind of seeing others responses. Cam mostly babbles, can say dad/daddy when he wants to, use to say mama and then he stopped. He understands almost everything I say to him. We speak to him in Tagalog but I'd say 70% is English. I'd like for him to know Tagalog since it's a lost language here in USA but what are ways to get him to say new words? I do read to him every night and we started on little flash cards I found at Target.

My chatterbox said a lot, I would say 80-100... but, only English. I've heard babies in bilingual homes can take longer to speak initially, but then catch up very quick. They are processing twice the information! Just keep talking in both languages, lo is soaking it all up! We read tons of books, talked about the pictures, named everything we saw on our walks, etc. I wish we knew a second language well enough to teach ?

My son knew about 20 words more or less. I speak to him mainly in Spanish. Also, I just talk to him whenever I do anything, for example, if I was changing his diaper I would narrate what I was doing. Just talk to him as much as you can. I think that’s very important.

None...

My daughter has a speech delay, but she's 25 months now and has over 100 words and is just starting to use 2 word sentences.
