I want to be more active with Zach but that’s hard to do when he doesn’t go to sleep until 1-2 in the morning and when I try to wake him up around 7-8 am, he screams and fusses to go back to sleep... I asked his doctor what should I do and this lady told me if I have already tired to sleep train and he’s not responding then I should just let his body do what comes natural and hopefully he’ll grow out of it....😑🤦🏽♀️

Is there a reason you’re waking him at 7-8? If he’s going to bed so late I would let him sleep much longer in the morning if you can. How much sleep does he get throughout the day? Maybe he’s overtired & that’s what’s causing him to be up so late.

I would definitely just let the baby sleep. Bibbles was the same way. Her body put itself on a comfy schedule and it eventually changed. But i wouldn’t wake him up in the morning especially if he’s going to bed at that time. Thats just my opinion tho. It’s easier to let them just grow out of it.

If I don’t wake him up he whines to eat then goes back to sleep and doesn’t get up again until noon or 2 in the afternoon... plays and then wants to go back to sleep for a nap from 5-9 then is up until 1-2 in the morning

I would let him choose the schedule he’s happy with for now and wait until he grows out of it. It will change. Id let him sleep lol...

Mines is the same age and Mama I'm going through it too I'm trying to put him to bed right now, I feel like he's on the schedule we were when he was in the tummy, but idk how to change it... we don't wake up until 1 or 2 in the afternoon too, so our whole day is gone, his father thinks I shouldnt nap him or I should wake him up early too but I don't agree, why punish him when he needs sleep and so do i, I try to keep him on a nap schedule but he breaks it, which makes it worse for we because I gotta be up with him til 2am, then he says our biological clock is wrong and that's why we sleep so much because bodies dont recover during that time a day, idk if that's true or not but I'm just waiting it out hoping it will change, hopefully before he turn one, fingers crossed

@sdc3615, my husband is the same. I could tell him it’s time for a nap and he just ignores me and when the night comes he looks at me for help because Zach is over tired and fussy... either that or if he is already asleep, my husband will come in a purposefully make a lot a noise and then walk out when Zach wakes up

Girl you're living my life, they just don't get it, I don't know if you're a sahm but I basically have my son all day and he has him for maybe 4 hours and he can't get it right, but if the roles were reversed and I worked he would and now I don't even bother depending on him to put him to sleep I do it myself, he's just so impatient and the mornings are the worst like take your ass to work already with your loud ass so we can sleep lol

@sdc3615, omg same here 🤦🏽♀️ my husband is only concerned about himself and how he feels and if I say anything about how tired I am or if I’m hurting it automatically turns into a comparison.... my husband was off on Tuesday and all day he’s probably only dealt with Zach about 1-2 hours and when we got home he was complaining about how tired he was and fell right to sleep while I had to stay up until the morning then wake him up for work
Sdc3615·
Yea we do that to, I'm over it, but I guess he thinks because he has a job that I don't work either, but sleep all day, I don't just do nothing the house clean and dinner ready when he come home and I'm packing and caring for the baby because we're moving sometimes I feel like just going up stairs to sleep and leave him with the baby but I don't want him to struggle or my baby to be miserable and lately since the move I don't have a choice he's working on the houses after work and he has to sleep

@sdc3615, I’ve stopped asking my husband for help and now he’s feeling it because our son pays attention to him for a couple of minutes (laughs and plays) but after a while he is literally screaming “mama” to get away and he doesn’t want my husband to put him to sleep or feed him ... I know it bothers him but he did it to himself because I’ve been begging him since Zach was born to help me and it’s only gonna get worse. But instead of him doing better, he just says that Zach is spoiled
Sdc3615·
No he's not spoiled, they depend on us for everything and comfort too, I guess some people don't have patience for babies its tough, but hopefully he'll they'll learn

@sdc3615, my husband was horrible during my pregnancy also. When we slept in the same bed he rolled on me, elbowed me in the stomach and kneed me in the back... would eat all my snacks or drink my meal replacement shakes. Would fall asleep when I needed him. Then when I went into labor he was asleep in the hospital room and I had to wake him up when I started to feel the need to push. When we bought Zach back to the house my husband was never up with him. I was post labor, recovering from a cyst and up non stop all while he was knocked out. And the bad part is, he got mad whenever my dad or step mom would try to help me because he said all they had to do was wake him up
Sdc3615·
I would've threw him out the bed and hid my snacks, but damn if only they knew all we go through, they wouldn't take us granted they just don't understand... And for some reason my bf checked out the at the hospital too, he was so sleepy and I'm like you didnt just go through labor lol but all we want is some support

I feel like he’s definitely old enough to be put on a schedule . My one month old is on a schedule . It’s not always easy but it’s definitely possible . My son goes to bed around 1am (his dad works over nights and leaves at 11, I’ll give him a bottle then, play with him and another smaller one an hour and a half later ) burp him , than lay him down and he’ll put himself to sleep as I pump. He wakes up around 4-5 (but sometimes he’ll sleep through the night ) nurse him, than he’ll put himself back to bed . Wakes up around 10 . And he’ll stay up til around 3-5 . Go down for no longer than three hours and then stay up til bed time . It’s definitely possible . You just have to have the patience
