I've been sad but I know my moms spirit is still here with me and that's what is keeping me from breaking down crying like I was for the first 3 days.

Her funeral was beautiful besides the father that spoke.. We let go of 51 hot pink (her fav color) balloons for each of her birthdays.

It sounds like you gave your mother a beautiful send off. And I believe you are right. Your mother is now looking over you. A mother's work is never done :)
