Wow. That's expensive! I just bought cute printed sheets and some light blankets. You don't need a bumper that comes with a set, and a child doesn't use a heavy blanket (or really any blanket) till they are older.

I got plain white crib sheets and a safe dye for babies, then washed 3 times to get all the extra out. I made two no sew blankets out of a really soft fabric and that's what we use. My 15 month old loves it.

I agree with lilkev. When I was pregnant someone told me all I'd really use is the fitted sheet. The comforter is way to heavy for a baby and I would not risk using the bumpers that come with them, they are even illegal in some states (I just used the mesh ones). I bought really cute sheets at target and light blankets. At about 2 years I bought my son one of those sheet/comforter sets in the character he wanted.

The first 3 months I used a bassinet and then the pack n play.. My son didn't use his crib till he was 10 months... Lol

$500 for sheets jesus Christ! get some cheap ones, chances are they'll get spewed and pooped on and only used for a short amount of time

I am making all my crib bedding and it's been super cheap. Right around $50 for every thing I need and that's including a couple fitted sheets. I buy my fabric from a mill end fabric store so it's even cheaper than retail fabric stores.

I've been looking everywhere! In stores and online and there's nothing I really like... So I figured I would start making it. Thanks for the advice ladies! :-)

Try eBay. You can get custom made bedding for a pretty good price. The one I'm getting I got to pick the colors and it's $295. They take about 3-4 weeks to make, so I'm ordering early ?

Making bedding is SO much cheaper. And you get to customize it to whatever you want! Also, fitted sheets are super easy to make...I know there are at least a couple of tutorials online. :)

I'm making a set and getting one from land of nod... One will go to grandmas house.

There are tons of them on amazon for under $100. I got a 7 piece set with a mobile for about $100 and I love it.

Honestly they don't really use the crib bedding it's not worth the money. Bumpers are not recommended and the quilts that come with the sets are too bulky. Spend extra money on cute sheets and other room decor .

It's recommended not to use anything thicker than a receiving blanket for a baby under 1 year. In licensed childcare centers,(in my state at least) it is against code to have blankets other than a receiving blanket. You would be wasting your money.

Make your baby a blanket they can use when you have snuggle time and save it for when they get older. It will mean much more if mommy made it.
