Anyone ever go through withdrawal? I finally figured out what the heck is going on with me the last few days. I've been weening myself off celexa because of being pregnant. Celexa is an antidepressant I started taking my last semester of college for stress years ago. I was on 20mg and was down to my last week of 5mg. I took my last one Saturday night. I'm going through withdrawal even though I did what my doctor told me to do!!! After reading, it can cause blurred vision and dizziness which is exactly what has been going on. It takes 10-14 days for no trace of it in my system. Holy crap this sucks! I can't imagine what people who are on hard core drugs go through because I'm miserable from this medication.

I went through a withdrawal from my pain meds prescribed for my back I had been on them for over 2 years and the doctor told me I couldn’t take them due to being pregnant which I already knew and for about 2 weeks I had restless leg syndrome and was sweating and felt dizzy but it went away and I have a super healthy baby girl who is about to be 2 months

@countrymama121 At this point, 2 weeks feels like forever. This is not fun! 😕 At least I know there is light at the end of this dark tunnel and I'm pretty sure it's not a train. Lol

@wvmommy, yes it def felt like forever I couldn’t sleep at night I was in a lot of pain especially from the restless leg syndrome I would have to rub my legs and put ice packs on them until it numbed them , but yes there def is it will get better and go away I promise ☺️

When I went off Celexa cold turkey I had severe withdrawal for 4 months. If you need the support of an antidepressant, several are pregnancy-friendly! Just talk to your doc. I hope your symptoms go away quickly. It is no joke and probably the worst I’ve felt combined with the scariest and darkest thoughts I’ve ever had. Take care xx

I was on 20 mg. My doctor said to take 10 mg for 10 days then break it in half and take 5 mg for 10 days. He said after that I should be fine. Well, I'm not. I did exactly what he said to do.
