Hello ladies. I had my glucose test yesterday and all came back normal but my iron is low so my doctor started me on 325mg of iron per day. I've recently had a harder time going poo, I know iron can make you constipated even more. Any suggestions so I don't get too backed up? Is there a better time of day to take this? My stomach is sensitive TIA 😊
Yes...colace for sure! I was anemic with my first 2 and the colace helped tremendously. The iron pill was awful too. Nothing like tasting metal throughout pregnancy. 🤢😩
Colace/off brand stool softener and a magnesium pill every night. It helps with leg cramps and is a mild laxative. Studies have shown it’s very beneficial to the baby as well. Drink lots of water too.
Even if you just add more fiber in your diet you shouldn’t need to take anything. I like having a leafy salad for lunch, and that helps.
Yes it's over the counter basically like a stool softener I took it during both my pregnancies and after during post partum. It was easier for me than eating prunes or drinking Metamucil 🤢
@a.lares thank you for the input girl. What is colace? Is it over the counter?
@wvmommy ugh I know 😣
