I’ve had people in real life roll their eyes at me because I’m trying to help keep their child safe in the car. All I want to do is help but they get so defensive as if I’m judging them. I’m worried about your child not your feelings.
@ndnprincess7, one thing I've learned is people are more receptive to me saying something if I privately message them. Saying it on the post typically causes a defensive remark back because they are embarrassed.
When my oldest was a newborn, one of my friends told me that I had the chest clip placement wrong. At first I felt a little defensive, like I wasn’t a good mom because I didn’t know. But now I realize how lucky I am that I was told that and didn’t have to learn the hard way. I actually just realized my oldest had reached the latch limits and needed to be using the seatbelt on her car seat. I would have missed it had another parent not told me that her daughter had just exceeded the limits. We are here to help each other!
@rachelleclister, they should put it in the larger part of the cart or just take baby out and wear baby or have baby sit in the seat on the cart. It makes the cart super top heavy and can be knocked over easily. Also, if people click their seats on top of the cart, they’re potentially messing up the locking mechanism that keeps the carrier in the base of the car. Very dangerous
Didn’t know the info about not putting a car seat on the top of a cart until I started using B.B. when my son was born and I was shopping, I had him in the big part of the cart. A lady came up to me and said thank you for doing that because it makes me so nervous when I see people put baby seats in the top of the cart. I’m so grateful to the ladies that helped me learn car seat safety, whether or not I’ve ever said it.. THANK YOU!!
