Anyone in Ontario been through this and can give insight or advice. My husband cheated. For 6 years he was in a relationship with my cousin. She left him, but isn’t solid on the end of the relationship. As you can imagine we are through. During the relationship, he had her at MY HOUSE weekly to establish a relationship with my kids. Now she is missing them and he plans to take them to see her, after he suggested she come to MY HOUSE to spend time with them. I’m sure I have no legal leg to stand on but, is there a way to prevent her from seeing my kids?

Get a lawyer and a custody agreement and if she wants to see him she can see them on his weekend with the kids. That is such a horrible request for him to make. What a terrible person. She’s your husband’s mistress and he committed adultery. I’m sure there has got to be a way to keep her away. Good luck with everything!

Go file for custody, you guys will be able to set rules and boundaries in my opinion I would ask that she not be allowed around the children and it’s very likely that would be granted given the circumstances. Also find out where your nearest flic (family law information centre) office is, mine is in the actual court house you can speak to a lawyer and get some information on what your chances of getting that granted are and what steps to take.
