@chelleyb93, @ericas070788, thank y’all, @blessedmama09, I’m thinking about everything and getting overwhelmed knowing that my daughter will be here anytime and I feel very unprepared for the transition to 2 kids. My SO has never experienced the baby stage because we met when my son was 1, and he’s just winging it and doesn’t seem too anxious, because he has no idea what is coming. So, I expect little help and I am also going to be breastfeeding so just thinking back on life during the first few months with my son I stayed attached to a pump or a baby 24/7 and I don’t know how that is supposed to work when I also need to be there for my son. 😔 maybe I’m just overthinking and I’m sure things will fall into place but at the moment it’s making me very anxious and stressed out.
@babyjjsmommy I'm in the same boat transitioning to two kids. I'm still breastfeeding my daughter (trying to ween before the baby gets here) but I know I need to build a schedule so that I can feed and spend some time with her and set up nap time at the same time so I can get my rest.
@babyjjsmommy, sorry to hear that you feel overwhelmed. I completely understand. My last two baby’s are 1 year and a half apart. I got pregnant with with my youngest when my second youngest was 8 months. Honestly it is going to be a challenge. I say just take it a day at a time a minute at a time. Try not to stress because it flies by fast. Before you know it your newborn will be turning two. Just don’t sweat the small stuff. I’m saying this from experience. You only have two and they’re so close in age so it’s like everything is fresh. The only difference is now you’re having a girl. How is your SO with your 2 year old?
@chelleyb93, yeah nap time is freaking me out because my son has recently started being so stubborn for me. He’ll take a nap easily for anyone else but I have to resort to driving him around in the car for him to fall asleep most days, because if not he won’t even go to sleep until 2 or 3 no matter what I try. @blessedmama09, he’s great with him, he’s just a typical male and works and then comes home to sit on his ass 🤷🏽♀️ it drives me insane. If I ask him to do things he will most of the time, but he doesn’t pick up on hints or offer help.
@babyjjsmommy, I think within time he’ll change. It takes the guys a little bit longer to catch on. My man and I have been together for 11 years. We’ve grown together. He used to be like that. He’d leave me with the baby and go chill with the guys. I’d tell him things. He’s very different now and helps a lot. Things will get better. Just talk with him. Keep an open communication. I think he’ll be good especially since he’s already good with your first born. That’s a really sign.
