Im new here. My old app was shut down I guess ..? Anyways I just need to vent.. it’s kinda long but I had to get it out cause it’s been bugging me.

Okay so I had this job at a little mom and pop candy store. Well first I was told my paydays we’re gonna be certain days and they ended up changing right before the original paydays . Second every time I came in my appearance was “wrong” I was told wear my hair up so I did . In a ponytail . Well she didn’t like it (the owner/boss) she said it HAD to be in a bun . I look around one other girl has her hair...IN A PONYTAIL. Another girl hair WASN’T EVEN UP. Okay whatever. So my next shift I have my hair in a bun . I have a white tank top on with my jacket. The colors we have to wear are white pink or brown. Well she said I’m not allowed to wear tank tops. Has to be a t shirt. First of all I don’t even own anything pink or brown. And I don’t have white t shirts. I have 2 white tank tops that’s all. I love designs in my shirts so basically all my shirts are different colors or designs. Wouldn’t matter anyways if it was a tank top I wore my jacket the whole day because it was cold. Couldn’t even tell it was a tank top. The next shift I have I wear a white t shirt (I went to Ross and actually bought one) and the sleeves have a purple line on it. So I go into work and she complains because it’s not completely white because of that purple line.... I look around again. One girl has a cheetah print shirt on. Another one has a white shirt with aliens all over it... again one with her hair down and another with a ponytail. So I have my hair in a bun I have a white t shirt on which my apron is covering. (The apron covers from my shoulders to past my knees) and I asked if she wanted me to wear my jacket then (it’s a jean jacket nothing to flashy) and she said rudely it didn’t matter I just need to wear the right thing next time. Then later she got mad because someone the day before (not even a shift I worked) was marking tips down when there wasn’t tips. (So when someone uses a credit card the receipt gives a option to write down a tip and some people put a / but it’ll look like a 1 sometimes.) I’ve always asked someone else or the customer if it’s a one I see before I take the tip out and into the jar. (When we are tipped we take it out of the register and put it into our tip jar.) well I told her it couldn’t have been me because I wasn’t working that shift. (Ik Ik just nod your head don’t talk back but I’ve already had it with her and felt like she was singling me out) and she said “ok I don’t need you to tell me if was or wasn’t you but when you think it’s a tip you need to write your initials on the receipt from now on cause I refuse to lose money” and she look at anyone else but when she brought it up. She looked at me and only me the whole time as if she was only talking to me. I let it go. On the very next shift (I work days apart from each other never one after another) I still didn’t go get a plain white t shirt without a purple line. Haven’t got a pink or brown one which was harder to find than the white ones I found lol. I haven’t had the money to go buy clothes. I have rent bills and gas to pay for and for food and my child. So I didn’t have left over money to buy new shirts for a job that wasn’t told I needed before I started. Well she hands me a “rule sheet” because I’m still wearing the white shirt she didn’t like. And later on that night she texts me about how the register was done wrong. I’ve only did it 3 times and each time I’ve had her “star employee” show me how to do it. Her star employee is a girl who’s worked there a year now and she praises her. Well her star employee trained me all wrong. She taught me how to do everything half ass and would close the store an hour before we were supposed to. After I did the register her star employee went over EVERYTHING and verified it did t right. (On that paper envelope the money goes into I sign it and the person who double checked it signs it. Well I texted her back and told her The other girl went over everything and verified it before I finished it. And she texted me back saying “I don’t need you to put blame on others. Own up to your mistakes if you can’t you won’t learn. And if you can’t learn to do things right maybe this isn’t the place for you to work” so I texted her back and told her I waiting for my next shift to put my 2 weeks in because I had found a full time job (which I did and I haven’t started because I told them I was doing my 2 weeks first) and she never texted back. I wasn’t even putting blame on her star employee. I was telling her I wasn’t the only one who made the mistake. I was so fed up with her blaming me for all the mistakes being made especially since none of them were even me. All the mistakes she was telling I did we’re on someone else’s shifts. The counters not being wiped, the sink not being cleaned, the candy not being restocked. Everything. I would wipe everything down and sweep every chance I got mostly because it was less cleaning I had to do before clocking out. Anyways well today she randomly texts me saying I have no right to go behind the counter and to check the work schedule because I no longer work there and added “you quit remember” YES I remember. Which is why I wouldn’t go out of my way to check a work schedule I’m not on? I haven’t been inside that place since the last day I worked. In fact I haven’t even been in that town since.. she never texted me back after I told her I haven’t even been inside the store since my last shift. I really wanted to text back again saying “apology accepted then” she has cameras in there so I’m sure she would be able to see if I even go in there. Idk if another girl told her I did that or she just wanted to text me to start something? Either way if a girl told her that she would be able to check her cameras to make sure before texting me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ so yeah I needed to vent because it made me mad. I needed to vent so it wouldn’t bother me anymore. I’m glad I quit. I’ll never feel bad for quitting a job where I feel I’m being singled out. I feel like she never even liked me cause since day one she was rude to me.
